Obviously, John does. He sounds like a great guy. Unfortunately,
you'll have had a much better chance of meeting Joe in a cumulative
character MMORPG base on investing copious amounts of disposable
time. It sounds like John was struggling much too hard with real
life to even think about investing 40 hours per week into a game.
So, you are saying that you prefer playing MMORPGs filled with guys
like Joe, who lack the depth of character that working hard in real
life brings? Or do you really think that if Joe would have put 40
hours per week into an MMORPG that he'd have suddenly developed the
same sort of "life experiences" that Joe did?

So, if you had a choice between having your virtual world filled
either with those who have life experiences or those who have game
experience (assuming that you've created a game in which success is
based on investing extreme amounts of time), which would you choose?
John or Joe?
