Yes, I once had a discussion on a non-MUD gaming newsgroup with someone
who tried muds and didn't like them. The thing that bothered him the
most about the mud he tried was the poor quality of the interface, and
the thing that bother him most about the interface was its use of
cryptic commands with non-alphabetical symbols. Nobody in their right
mind is going to think of "2.bag" until someone tells them to try it.

Most mud veterans know that's a diku-only syntax. They'll try it first
if the mud is a diku, or something else otherwise.
