Ways we're worked on establishing community include discussion
boards, annual player/staff gatherings, weekly updates that people
can subscribe to, an online journal discussing the game's
development, an IRC chat room, online OOC gatherings, encouraging
players to act as newbie helpers, etc. But the best way remains --
acknowledge player contributions to the game publically so they know
they are valued and welcomed contributors.
