These Cards are very popular at asian countries. For example, Taiwan.

Frankly speaking, this idea about "point card" is smart and
excellent, if I could mention it is somewhat evil. In asian
countries such as Korea, Taiwan, HK and Japan, the most of
online-game players are students. In the other hand, most of student
players are under age 18. They don't have the credit card, but they
can purchase the "point card" by saving their allowance or the lunch
budget.

By the way, some Agents of Korea Online-Game using the "point card"
as a kind of promotion. EA and Sony could not reduce the monthly fee
of UO and EQ easily, but the Lineage card could promote a special
offer -- maybe contain a powerful pet, a glowing elven clothes, or a
legendry lance -- very month, even every week.
