Actually EQ has the switch on the blue servers -- which are the
majority of the servers. There are also PVP servers, with the
oldest being Rallos Zek, two race war servers -- Vallon Zek and
Tallon Zek, and now under test is Sull(something) Zek.

Rallos Zek have a 4 level attack limit. No teams. Coins and 1 item
looting. New change is a sanctuary for levels 1-5. They have
recently added a hometown faction hit system.

TZ and VZ, are race war servers and are exactly alike. The reason
why there are two servers is that it seemed that TZ was going to be
too crowded when it first opened. Four teams, but tends to split
into 3 vs 1, good and evil races. 8 level limit, no sanctuary.
Hometown faction hits. Cross-teaming is a problem and so are the
invincible healers. Until recently they also had a 5th team which
could act as unkillable spies and mules. The 5th team was
unintentional, I believe. Coins only looting.

The new server SZ went up 3 days ago. It is diety based that
creates three teams -- good, evil, and neutral. Level 1-5
sanctuary, hometown faction hits, no level limits -- anyone 6 and
above can attacke anyone else. Coins only looting. This server is
available only through testserver and the players will be wiped when
it goes live. SZ is more complex than I have described here, so it's
better to go read the EQ sites for more details or create a
character and experience it yourself.
