[MUD-Dev] Slightly extreme reaction to IP and auction

A couple of updates to virtual object auction issue.

First a site called Playerauction has posted its rules about how to
post the auctions of virtual objects such as from EQ and OU on their
site. It includes some rules concerning restrictions on trademark
references and using screenshots from copyright games. You can see
the bulk of the rules at

  http://www.playerauctions.com/registration/user_agreement.cfm.

Originally I had also wondered about the use of screenshots in ads.
However, all this would be covered under "fair use". Otherwise you
couldn't call Beanie Babies Beanie Babies and essentially you
couldn't post pictures of anything as part of the auction for fear
of some illusionary property right infringement.

Second, apparently there is an update to the Ebay rules that include
providing user information to someone that claims there is a IP
issue involved with the auctions. Not much new here because anyone
can get the user information as long as they are a registered
user. I know because I have done it on several occasions. The
information includes the person's full name, email address,
telephone, and-- if I remember correctly -- mail address. however,
there was a mutual sharing of information. If I asked for your
personal info, you would get mine.
