They do limit the language selection somewhat; the language must be a
general-purpose language.  They specifically state that LPC is not
allowed (although Pike, an LPC derivative that lacks some of the
built-in mud-oriented functionality, is).  I would assume that MOO
would not be allowed either.

Hmm... nothing in the rules specifically prohibits creating your own
GP language... :-)
