Second hand goat milk has that property of once being smelled, causing
all subsequent to smell like second hand goat milk.

Have the blob be translucent, with the name of the sense or any
pecularites about the sense report be in text within the blob as a
variation of colour in the blow (sahdow text). Further variation can
be had by colour palette rotation within a narrow colour range ("Its
pulsing from bright blue to indigo!"), or flashing the translucency
with the rate of flash being proportional to the strength of the
sense/signal.
