Reminds me that I never got around to doing so.  (you'll have to forgive
me, my mail server became flakey on me)  Most of my work so far has been
on a scratch hack and slash mud based on AD&D rules.  It really amounts to
a cleaned up diku, with little added that this group would care about.
(it's more than a diku, and has some hints of fancier stuff, but it's all
old news on the theory side... ie it has event based combat, but some
people here talk of going event based beyond just the combat engine.)  I
have had ideas for more complex models (an object collision model is the
main one) but not the time to implement them yet.  One other side project
that I had was getting a curses interface to work over telnet, with the
possible expansion into a Civilization/Master of Magic wargame type of
MUD, or possibly a Nethack clone with multi-player capabilities.
