Keep point here: they are ruining the consistancy of the world for
*themselves*.  Trying to stop players from doing what they want to do
on their end of things is pointless, since it both frustrates them, and
they'll get around it anyhow (try using a client to substitute one name
for the other; I've done it many a time).
Personally I don't desire to do this, but far be it from me to stop
players from doing whatever they like, since it has no impact on any
other player in the world.  In addition, it allows me to do cool things
like:

The greasy man introduces himself as Kushem of Raegnore.
Kushem bows deeply.
The woman standing nearby says, 'Up to your old tricks, eh Sylke?'

You will now refer to him as Sylke.
